Carolyn's Easter Bonnet and egg fingernails!

My little sister Carolyn was feeling very pretty in her red Easter bonnet on Sunday.
Not only that, but our friend, Quincie Long, painted Carolyn's fingernails to look like little Easter Eggs!
She had fun finding things to put in her Easter basket.
One funny thing...well, funny to me, maybe not to Carolyn...is that when she saw a chocolate bunny, she said, "I like chocolate, but I don't like them killing rabbits."
Startled, I replied, "You think they kill rabbits?"
She pointed at the chocolate bunny. "They kill it, then put chocolate on it."
Managing not to laugh, I explained to her that there is no rabbit killing in the making of chocolate bunnies.
We hope you had a fine and happy Easter, too.

Easter Dog

When I introduced my dog to the "Easter" bunny, she (the dog, Bibs) was rather interested. When she found out eggs were involved, she was rather excited!
Of course, if we ever had Bibs as the Easter Dog, there would likely be no eggs for anyone else, because she likes them so much!
What are your Easter traditions?
Have they changed over time?

Easter Candy

Did you ever see such colorful Easter candy? Look at all those flavors!
So sweet and creamy! Which one is your favorite flavor? Go ahead... take a bite... let the sweetness slide down your throat...

and remember what children used to get for saying naughty words!
(Surprise!)
What happened to you when you said naughty words as a child? (Did you even know what you were saying?)

Unfair Shopping With Chocolate Bunnies

I wasn't there at the scene of the shopping crime. I showed up after the fact, but the evidence is pretty compelling.
Look for yourself:

Some innocent shopper with a limited budget was doing his or her best to buy something that could fall into the "healthy" category. Peas.
Fried, salted peas.
(They're still peas.)
But then, while looking for quasi-healthy avocado dip for their crisp peas, they made a wrong turn down the (dun-dun-dun) BUNNY AISLE!
Well, what else could they do but drop the peas and pick up a chocolate rabbit?
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Easter Bunny Night

I caught a shot of what looks like the Easter Bunny in a store parking lot!
I had to wonder about the boy following the bunny around... was he looking for eggs?

I Tawt I Taw a Putty Tat!

This is my son's kitty cat wanting to come in.    (Is she scared of the Easter Bunny, I wonder?) She is tenacious, that's for sure, hanging on the screen by her toenails, trusting that someone will open the door and let her in.
I heard a cool thing in church yesterday. If we trusted Jesus as our Savior in the life before this one, then why do some of us have such a hard time trusting him now? Considering what he did for us, he obviously loves us all very much. There's no reason He would fail us when we need him the most.
So let's ramp up our tenacity for faith, for love, and for expanding our talents! (Write away! And judging by the picture, I also need to get my window washing talents in line.)
What is the marvelous, heart-warming talent you want most to expand on?

Easter, Oh, Easter!

IT WAS MICHAEL who remembered the Easter Bunny this year. On Easter Sunday, we celebrate the resurrection of Christ. On Monday, the Easter Bunny comes hopping down the bunny trail, and look what he left! It did my heart good to take pictures of my little boys finding Easter treats. It did my waistline bad to eat some. I mean, I KNOW WHAT THEY TASTE LIKE! So why did I think they'd be any different this year? They weren't!
In good-news-on-the-home-front, I got my Christmas story sent out to different publishers! It's my fondest hopeful greenie-and-growy wish that someone wants to publish it soon!
Ah, what a wonderful world.
