Tall Bahlmenn and Big Fish!

I know my boys are tall, but sheesh, Andy, you're gonna take your head off if you run through any doorways in that get-up for playing the giant in BIG FISH at the Snow College theater!

I was warned to take tissues, so I did. Afterward, I asked Bob if I should have handed him a tissue. He just looked at me with a half grin. Michael said he would have cried if he was a social cryer. Andy did his crying on stage.

We really liked the play. It was worth our time.

Do you like plays that make you cry? Or do you prefer to laugh? (This one offered both!) Do you like slapstick? Musicals? (This was also one of those.) Or drama? (Yeah, that too.)

Write Here in Ephraim 2016!

With Snow College Continuing Education as a partner, the 6th Annual "Write Here in Ephraim" conference had much cooler signage! (When doing it on my own,  I hand lettered poster paper.)

My friend, Justin Osmond, gave an amazingly humorous and inspirational speech at our Saturday Meet and Greet. (Can you read my shirt? Are you going to do what it says? Yeah, look at the shirt, not my feet, which forgot to get into model's pose for this shot.)

 Prolific author Dean Hughes gave an inspiring speech in the middle of our workshops on Saturday, and he also gave everyone at the conference some of his books for free! 

(Woo Hoo! Everyone got a door prize!)

I wanted to get pictures with all the amazing authors who came and shared their professional information with up-and-coming writers, but I missed getting photos with them. So here's a shout-out and hugs to Tristi Pinkston, Rebecca Blevins, Karlene Browning, Jenni James, Steve Clark, C. David Belt, Kate Palmer, Loralee Evans, Kathryn and Douglas Jones, Rebecca Scott, Sabine Berlin, Heidi Brockbank, Meg Jensen, Ellen Walker, James Duckett, and Angie Lofthouse. Then the student helpers Lindsey and Sarah were so pleasant. (I better not have missed anyone! They are all so incredibly important to me, and I love and appreciate their talents and good hearts.) We got amazing feedback from our attendees, who loved the conference overall. The only complaints were not having classes repeated, and starting too early and running too late. (But how else could we fit so much goodness into a couple of days?)

Badger Ballers Basketball Game

What in the world is a Badger Baller Game? It takes place on the Snow College Campus, since their mascot is a badger. It pairs people with special needs with the college basketball team for a rousing game of hoops.

 If you're under five feet tall, you might get a boost to help you make a basket. Or you might get the ball passed to you multiple times until you swish it through the net. Or your shot might get extra propulsion from a long arm to travel those last few inches into the basket.

A Snowman Taller Than Me!

When I walked the dog at 7:00 am, it wasn't there,

but when I walked to church at 10:30 am, it was! Someone had built a snowman on Snow College campus in between times, and it was taller than me! (I'm six feet tall with my boots on!)

Taking pictures of a six and a half foot tall snowman with me in the frame is kind of hard to do by myself, but you can see the head height comparison above.

It was nice to get to know you, Snow.
