Creepazoid!

Augh! I hit a bird with my car! Bob said it was a meadowlark. I get creeped out just rolling my car over already dead animals, but to actually hit and kill one... augh! It was like all my nerve endings in my whole body were on edge. I had to grip the steering wheel and blink a whole bunch of times so I wouldn't cry. It took 21 miles before I felt even close to normal again.
Birdies, fly higher!

I know how you feel. I unavoidably hit an opossum once and looked in my rear view window to see him spinning on his back in the middle of the road like a little possum break dancer. It was in the middle of the interstate so all I could do was say a little prayer that no one else hit him and that he was just stunned. It's sad to hit animals.

Oh, that's sad. (The little possum break dancer was a nice description, though.) Once upon a time, I was riding with someone and the car ahead of us hit a squirrel. I exclaimed in horror, and the driver said, "What's wrong?" When I told her, and she said, "Oh, that doesn't bother me. I grew up on a farm." Well, I spent my teenage years on a farm, and it still bothers me!

I'm sorry, Shirley! Just remember ... all birds go to heaven.

That's so sad. But, if it's any consolation, my dad just saved a baby possum i a swimming pool, so maybe that evens the cosmic score.
